Backup & Restore¶
Timesheet History provides two ways to back up your data locally on your device storage.
1. Manual Backups¶
You can create a snapshot of your data at any time.
- How to create: Go to
Backup & Export> Tap the+button > Give your backup a name. - Where are they stored? These files are saved in the
Backupfolder within the app's internal directory on your phone. - File Format: Manual backups are stored as
.thbfiles (Timesheet History Backup).
2. Scheduled Backups (Premium)¶
Let the app handle the work for you.
- Setup: Go to
Backup & Export> Settings (Gear icon) > EnableDaily Backup. - Retention: You can choose how many historical backups to keep (e.g., keep the last 5 days). The app will automatically delete older ones to save space.
- Condition: Scheduled backups typically run once every 24 hours when the device is charging to prevent battery drain.
3. Restoring Data¶
Restoring a backup will overwrite all current data in the app.
- How to restore: Long-press any file in the backup list and select
Restore. - Importing Files: If you have a
.thbfile from another device, use theImportbutton to move it into the app's backup list first.
